BAO KHANH

Meeting photographer Bao Khanh and observing his work strike a similar tone. There is a sense of quiet, calm, and introspect, yet an aura of strength radiates.

Bao Khanh uses his camera lens to record his hometown, capturing the stories of people and places in a single moment. When admiring his photos, it is as if you can hear the voices and experiences of a person, as if you were speaking to them yourself. For Bao Khanh, the most valuable photo is one that can reflect the emotional connection between photographer and subject. His works bring a feeling of tenacity, bravery, and courage, reflecting the resilience of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people. A story of determination emerges – these are the stories TAIWANfest seeks to embrace.

A gust of wind travels far, far away, carrying thoughts of one’s hometown. Bao Khanh hopes his photos from Vietnam may shift the way the world thinks about the country. Perhaps you might once again recognize “home” through his eyes and his lens.
